Girls on the Run is an empowering organization that helps build self-confidence in each girl. They envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. This organization is proud to have served over 2 million girls in the past 20 years and recognize that many girls face seen and unseen challenges and barriers that make reaching their potential more difficult for them than their peers.  As Gamma Phi's, we feel honored to work with Girls on the Run!

Feed

In the Spring of 2024, we hosted Gamma Phi's second annual feed within our chapter! Building on the success of last year's event, we were thrilled to continue this exciting tradition. All proceeds once again benefited our philanthropy, Girls on the Run. In the weeks leading up to the feed, we enthusiastically promoted the event throughout our Greek community and the broader UW campus.

On the evening of the event, our members came together to support the cause, serving up delicious Dick's burgers and fries to raise funds for Girls on the Run. The atmosphere was electric, with hundreds of people stopping by to enjoy the great food and contribute to our philanthropic efforts. We were delighted to see the continued success of our feed and are excited to see this event become a cherished tradition within Gamma Phi's Lambda chapter at UW.

Moonball

Our annual on-campus philanthropy encourages the UW Greek community to participate in raising money for Girls on the Run while creating a little friendly competition among other houses. All chapters have the opportunity to buy into our daylong volleyball tournament! Each spring, we love watching our friends get involved in the competitions and help us support the Girls on the Run mission of building strong girls.
